Stone house with sea-blue shutters, bougainvillea and herbs in terracotta pots

Our story

One stone house, three generations

In 1987 Ante Marinić turned the ground floor of his stone house into a konoba with four tables and one grill. He fished in the morning and cooked in the evening. The menu was whatever the sea gave him.

A fisherman bringing a wooden boat into the harbour at dawn

Today his daughter Vesna runs the kitchen and his grandson Luka runs the boat. The tables now spill out onto a terrace above the water, but the rule has not changed: we cook what came in that morning, simply, over olive wood.

The olive oil is from our own grove behind the house. The bread is baked every afternoon. The wine comes from small cellars on Krk and Cres. We open when the season starts, and we close when the bura comes in November.
